Sheikh Junaid Dar al-Azhary was born in England in 1983 and resides in London. In 2007 he obtained a Master's in Civil Engineering from University College London (UCL), and went on to achieve his BA in Islamic Law from the University of Al-Azhar in Cairo whilst also learning the Arabic language.
In 2025 he graduated from the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) with a Master's in Islamic Studies. He endeavours to complete his Ph.D. in Islamic Jurisprudence in the near future.
For many years now, Sheikh Junaid Dar has appeared on numerous TV stations around the globe — including Huda TV, Islam Channel, and weekly sessions on IQRA International TV — and has worked with countless academics and intellectuals.
He is an Imam and Khateeb and has worked as a teacher within the field of Islamic law, delivering an array of interactive lectures at various institutions and mosques, including Hounslow Muslim Centre, West London Islamic Centre (WLIC) and WLICC. Through his accessible, dynamic, scientific and evidence-based discourse, he has become immensely popular and appeals to a variety of audiences.
His work is done solely to revive the Islamic Sciences and to demonstrate the need for Islam and its solutions for the twenty-first century.
